Boxwood Expands its Team of Seasoned M&A Professionals
BRIAN ALAS JOINS BOXWOOD PARTNERS, LLC
Richmond, VA – (July 30, 2013) Boxwood Partners, together with its affiliate Boxwood Capital Partners, is an integrated mid-market M&A advisory and private equity firm based in Richmond, VA.

Prior to joining Boxwood, Brian worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) Deals practice in New York within the Financial Due Diligence group. During his time with PwC, Brian performed due diligence and advisory services to both private equity and strategic investors in the consumer products, transportation and logistics, industrial products, pharmaceuticals/healthcare, and aerospace/defense industries. His new position brings him back to Richmond where he was Boxwood’s first summer intern in 2008. Brian earned his B.S.B.A in Accounting and Finance from the E. Claiborne Robins School of Business at the University of Richmond in 2008 and his Masters of Accountancy in 2009. While at Richmond, Brian served as the closer for the Spider baseball team while also serving on the Executive Committee of the NCAA’s Division I Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Brian is also a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York. The Port Washington, NY native recently moved to Richmond, VA.

I remember assisting with the initial diligence for Shockoe Commerce Group’s (a Boxwood Capital Portfolio Company) first acquisition in 2008, and its subsequent growth has been a true testament to the drive and determination of Boxwood team,” said Alas.
